Nah I had the flu lmao, I was already on the low end of healthy but with being sick and my active job i've dropped back down into skelly-chan territory, so now I'm trying to gain it back by getting back into weightlifting and eating as much as I can on my days off work.

Wanted to buy CeraVe that Vingle recommended, but was out of stock in most places I looked for. Bought a local brand that the pharmacy lady said it was similar. Glicerine, clean intensive based. Wish me luck.
 
Hello all,

Sorry for the sperging and shilling but I just need to share my story.

During puberty my face was full of acne to the point I wanted to die. We were poor, but luckily our insurance covered a visit to a dermatologist and Tretrinoin.

Tretrinoin made me feel like shit but holy fuck my acne was gone... However it left a lot of scarring (mainly hyperpigmentation). My dermatologist said that this will never go away and I had to live with that and be greatful for the results. Well to be honest I was greatful for the results, since I had to acne left but the scars were always bothering me.

I was also a retard during my post puberty years and used a TCA peel to remove them (the shit you could find on ebay back then was amazing) but holy shit I think I was shredding for a whole month and there was no difference at the scars whatsoever.

Anyway over the years I was on and off and even though I had tried AHAs in the past I didn't see any results. That was until 2 months ago.

2 months ago I started using CeraVe Foaming Cleanser (for normal to oily skin) every day. After I use a local AHA cream 10% (I had used for 2 months the same company's 14% aha cream in the past but it made no difference to me) and after I use CeraVe moisturizing cream PM. The first month I was also using Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme but after they were finished I stopped using them.

Well I just can't believe the difference I see in my face. Even after one week the difference was noticeable. Now after 2 months most of my scars are almost gone. I'm sure in 1 more month my face will be scar free. My skins time is also more even, it glows and looks very healthy. I'm so happy.
Next month I plan to introduce retinol to my skin care routine because I have started to have some fine wrinkles. That's the reason I started my whole routine 2 months ago.


PS. I always choose products by their active ingredients and not by the brand. That's why the aha cream I use is local and literally unheard of outside of my country. I also used their 14% aha cream but it made no difference to my face (in my head bigger number is always better, I know I'm stupid). However their 10% cream had hundreds of favorable reviews and that's why I changed my order in the last minute and chose it... And we'll... This is the first product that actually worked for me.

Well, duh. You need several treatments with even TCA. It's just an acid, not magic. And I press doubt to shedding for a month, try a week.

It's good you're happy, but you are hyping pretty standard skincare to unrealistic standards. We are not fucking reddit.
If you got the scars in your teens and are x amount of years older. Of course it have mostly faded away. Time heal wounds.
 
Well friend it's been like 15 years since I used TCA. And it was actually a phenon peel, the one used at ages 60+, not TCA. I found it on ebay. Yes I was very retarded teenager. My mother when she saw my face turn brown and start shredding started crying.

My sperging was reddit tier but it's all true. My scars were 99% hypertrophic and now they are on the same level as my skin and every day passing they become less and less noticeable and less red.

No need to be an asshole.

Do you sleep on that side of your face? If it's only on one side it could come from sleeping.


I randomly tried these two products recently, and they've worked great for my dry skin. I don't know the sCiEnCe, they were just recommended, and I took a gamble and they worked.

These are both pretty cheap too, so if you have dry skin and want some extra moisture, give it a shot. I really like mist products for reapplying throughout the day.
 
I have the driest fucking skin on the planet which has since improved from fixing up my nutritional intake but it's still not ideal. Discovered the pricey TRUE skin oil range though and it's got to be the best purchase I've made in terms of skincare. I don't know if any kiwis use it, I always get blank looks when I bring it up but it's actually pretty nice and doesn't feel like it just sits on my skin doing nothing. I usually wake up extra damn soft because of it too. Its worked miles better than anything I've ever purchased from Kiehls.
 
Tips for older skin? I am very pale, freckly skin type, and middle aged.
Must be available in Europe and simple to use, I’m not sure I’d stick with some of these routines. Do t wear makeup so just cleanser and moisture please.
 
I found a MAN'S lotion for MANLY MEN who are MANLY and have MALE SKIN that makes my skin nice and soft.

Got myself new products and my skin looks great now. Been using tonic, La Roche Posay anti acne serum at night, La Roche Posay skin corrector at spots damaged by acne and Nivea normal skin moisturizer. At shower I use either Actine anti acne face soap or Neutrogena Deep Clean Energizing Gel Exfoliant (twice a week). Soon I will consult with a dermatologist to talk about the discoloration around my eyes but so far all of this has improved my skin by a lot.

If you are UK and just looking for basics then Simple cleansers are good and not pricy? CeraVe products are great, the big tub of moisturiser is my go-to (think it’s just called moisturising cream for dry to very dry skin - I don’t have dry skin but still use this one just in case you’re the same and the name puts you off)
