Actually, kind of yes, in some respects. It was certainly about gay people being at least as good as the other shitty people in the series.
As for more obviously the greatness of the LGBT community, there would be Queer as Folk, which went five seasons, and while it might be somewhat reasonably accused of being homos for straight people, it certainly did nothing wrong as far as being openly promotional.

Or at least label it as erotica. Out of curiosity, I checked out what else they had and there's also a "polysexual orgy" involving the gay guy, the tranny and two straight dudes.

Actually, not a terribad show. Just full of itself for obvious reasons. But it does bring in it's own viewership.

They canceled Rosewood because this season's ratings were awful. Sleepy Hollow also got canceled for the same reason.

The fact i'd never heard of this show until it made the "trending" list on my FB feed, due to the troonspazzing, would indicate it didn't exactly have wide appeal that a TV show, well, kinda NEEDS to justify itself? But why beat that dead horse any more? True progressivism in this day and age means you'll willfully run your company out of business before you'll make a profit from those white straight cis devils....
This is all very reminiscent of the boom and subsequent bust of online comics in the early 00s when the internet made it possible for anyone to publish without having to live under the thumb of soulless comic syndicates - only to find out most comics get rejected not for their politics, but because they suck.... and the fans attribute it to malicious forces setting them up to fail because the powers that be couldn't take the edginess, not that the author couldn't tell a joke to save his life.
Considering how hard it is at work to find a guy who can drive a 5 speed manual in a vehicle over 5,000 GVW without endangering the public or himself.... I'm not willing to mock him just for that.

I think we can both agree though that in a show where other people have amazing firearms, hand-to-hand, burglarly, hacking and persuasion skills, being able to drive a bus built sometime during the Carter administration ceases to be a narratively compelling superpower.
And I'm not kidding when I say that's literally all he contributed for the majority of season 1. Maybe he got better in the second season, but I doubt it.

saw both seasons a while back. i liked the show, it's concept is interesting, the acting isnt bad, a lot of sexual shit is pretty shoehorned in a bit too much though, but in spite of that, i still liked it, but i'm not gonna miss it too much because it got cancelled.

there was that goofy thing where the first movie had a character named Switch, who was going to be a man in the real world and female in the Matrix, but the studio thought it would be too confusing.

I'm sure 99% of the people who signed this petition are merely upset about "muh queers", and have no intention of actually watching the show
but if you want shows created by gay people with gay representation, you could do a lot better than these two.

The cancellation makes plenty of sense to me. I wouldn't want to look at these people for free let alone pay a monthly fee to do so.

What is a petition going to do? It's not going to make the budget any smaller. Netflix knows exactly how many people watched the show.
