Return of Kings, unfortunately, isn't. The redpiller crowd bought the article hook, line and sinker. The reaction from the rest of the internet was something along the lines of "my God, redpillers are fucking disgusting... as usual".

I seemed to spot a few befuddled comments along the lines of "wait, where I have seen that photo before?" though...

So if this was a troll, well played.

I've seen the Matrix, so am I correct in just assuming it's men who claim they have had an epiphany about the pernicious effects of feminism and how women really are, due to exposure to mens' rights ideology and pick up art?

Basically it's the unholy trinity of a) Men Going Their Own Way bullshit (Read: The part of the Love-shy crowd that has about 0.2% more brain cells than average love-shies, and have some vague understanding of the mens's rights activism ideology), b) Pick-Up-Truck-Artistry bullshit (Set of obscure tricks used to mask the douchebaggery and trick women to sleep with them - even when all women with more than 2 brain cells can see right through this), and c) All Sorts of Other bullshit (gratuitous Matrix references are just the tip of the iceberg).

Edit: this forum has a brilliant word filter when Pick-Up-Truck Artistry gets turned into "Child Molesters", quite accurate

actually no.
The "red pill" term originated somewhere in /pol/ though rumors say that stormfront coined it when they tried to raid the place.
the red pill term was used to be "enlightened" on controversial subjects like the holocaust, banks, femenism,etc.
some of the info they gave might have been true, but usually they exaggerated it in order to make themselves look like the truth and that they're the last bastation of freedums or something.
eventually, Reddit picked up on it, and MRA's focused solely on the one subject that was controversial but was convinient to their agenda; Femenists.
they solely focused on third wave feminists, how to pick up women or something and popularized the term redpill among the internet.
I found this out when some friend of mine on facebook linked the sub reddited claiming that it enlightened her and that she now "knows how to get the lady of her dreams" since she's "redpilled".

What these idiots don't realize is that redpill is a shit term. Anyone can make an infograph on how Females love the spray of Axe if it's Lemon scent, and they'd still buy it since it has the red pill label.
if they really wanted to get enlightened on subjects, they should get out of their comfort zone and read books that touch on different subjects and form their own opinion rather than sticking to one source.
It's a little think called "critical thinking".
