Redpill me on live action dramas - apparently that's what women watch when they turn 8

The subtitle was a joke btw, they watch Disney sitcoms instead. But anyway, I'm unfortunately very bored. I need something to watch see what's going on in pop culture but the series (and by extension cults over ugly actors) makes me reconsider. Like sell me the appeal on things like Bridgeton or other normie shows most non-mentally ill people watch?

I have watched some of it in my youth but I tend to gravitate towards sci-fi and supernatural stuff.

For a sane person, there is no appeal as these shows are usually badly written, akwardly acted and suffer from the sudden nigger syndrome. But to compensate for that, writers add gross faggot tension between male characters, so that lowly faghag fujos like you would make them free marketing and waste thousands of dollars on merch. So yeah, you should totally check them out, it's literally tailor-made for your viewer taste palate.

Yea not really? If both of them are ugly walled men I have zero interest in whatever supposed chemistry they come up with.

I watch shows like Bridgerton. They aren't stellar story-wise or acting wise but it's meant for easy watching. I like Romance as a genre though and I love the tropes. It's escapism. If it's not someone's thing that's also okay.

Bridgerton in particular though I dunno. Historical Romance isn't something I would typically have interest in but the mild anachronisms make it more enjoyable and the production value is there. If all the male love interests weren't giant whores I'm sure I'd like it more. If you'd like to give it a go I'd say start with Queen Charlotte. The male love interest in that one is the only one who isn't a whore and the story ends as sweetly as it could, and the story overall is more compelling than any other season of Bridgerton.

Slop isn't always bad if it's just accepted for what it is. It's easy fun and not to be taken seriously. These types of dramas are usually colourful, with fun if not absurd fashion, and it's nice to watch a female character in a show meant for a female audience. Focus on another woman's problems for a bit and know it'll end nicely even if it's not realistic.

Ugh, Bridgerton.

There is a glut of too many shows right now that are virtually all the same but with different faces:

Rebellious noblewoman coming of age
Questions marriage, women’s roles
Of course secret gay lovers
Nobody is sure if the princess is a virgin or not
Questionable bastard heirs and legitimacy
Plotting and gossiping
Classism

It’s so tiring. It even affects that game of thrones prequel.

I don't really watch them. But in the 90s I watched Beverly Hills 90210. Sometimes I watched Felicity. And it's odd but I thought Felicity was in like 1994ish. Nope. It premiered in 1998. Fallible Memory Effect. I remember trying to watch Melrose Place but I think I was too young to find it engaging. 90210 was more entertaining for younger viewers. Didn't get into Dawson's Creek. One Tree Hill, The OC ect... They all started to blend together after awhile.

I can't really help you with anything that isn't 90s to early 2000s.

I enjoyed Wonder Falls. I was so mad when it was cancelled.
