How do they not realize how fucked up it is to be on the receiving end of that? To be considered nothing more than a potential rapist, an evil gorilla? Then often those same exact people have the gall to call others selfish. Often the examples they'll use to "prove" that are just those others not totally self sacrificing every part of themselves to the poster, who projects by calling the others selfish. TMI but I never received any sort of talk. I was ugly and fat and awkward as a teen so my parents assumed I didn’t need to know anything yet and anything I did need to know would be sorted out and covered by the school. Absolutely insane to just give that power over to the public school district and the internet.

The only arguments that are legitimate against AI are wasteful job replacements that you need to rehire people after realizing that the AI doesn't do shit for your business. Or the data center locations being too close to people and causing heavy noise pollution as well as driving down property values while also causing your electric and water bills to go up. Both of these things can have legislation drawn up against them.

Other than that, no. AI has been a net positive for most people.

They interpret all comments generally against AI as being “anti-AI” in the same way they are, which is that they want AI to be banned and everyone involved with it to be imprisoned or beheaded. Whereas the average person “against” AI just doesn’t like it or understand it. They try to leverage this general distaste or disinterest to bring them on board with banning and punishing and it always pushes people away. They are incapable of being normal with any issue, they have to take the most extreme stance on things
