I have a more positive attitude of this show, but not by much. It's Day Court, where there's a lack of weirdo defendants. But it's also not nearly as bad as Velma or She-hulk by being bland and inoffensive, so I'm completely ambivalent. Jokes that strike out don't offend me nearly as bad whatever the hell Velma is doing.

And it bears repeating, John Larroquette has a Sigmund Freud beard to cover up his herpes.

Just from what I saw in the video I already realized the problem:
John Larroquette should have been the judge and the daughter character should have been the up and coming attorney arguing before him.

Night Court was as good as it got for 80s sitcoms. It started out really shitty though, but when they finally settled on the right cast it got good. Then it got a little bit weak at the end.
Night Court is still rewatchable, as opposed to those treacly safe sitcoms like The Cosby Show and Family Ties.

I watched the most recent episode and there's a "white man privilege" comment. I'm done with it.

This reboot seems like a joke parody of a sitcom, I don’t know how to explain it. like it’s someone making fun of old sitcoms and making it intentionally unfunny, but also trying to wink at the audience and go “lol didn’t these suck?”
