SG-1 is good up until about the end of Season 8. 9/10 got kind of heavy handed and drug on for too long.

I enjoyed the the reboot of villain storyline. It was needed sooner because everything else had dragged on too long. By that point they knew how to make entertaining episodes. So even if not the best ideas, it was always solidly entertaining.

The sound of Mike folding and playing with the paper sounded like the fart sound effect every time, very distracting. Maybe its the chair.

This made me do a double take until I realized the sentence wasn't over.

For some reason I hear everyone talking about how this season is great and how I should give it a chance, but I've been burned too much.

Lets set up a betting pool on when this show goes to shit. im betting episode five is when the shit hits the fan.
Word is - even among previous haters - is that it maintains quality throughout and concludes on a great send-off.

I'm NOT betting on it, but I wouldn't place as high of a bet on episode 6 as I would have in the past...

I hated the season 10 reboot of the Ori from the religion being a scam invented by the Ori to a real religion corrupted by the Ori. Most viewers didn't realize Origin was an analogy for Islam, they didn't have to change it to Origin radicals.

I'm going to watch Disparu and RLM talk about Picard first. I thought everything that came from that continent in the early 00s was an analogy (or just blatant standin) for Islam, since they didn't have the Soviets anymore.

edit: Then again, people who write Star Trek no longer realise the Klingons were once meant to be Soviets.

G'damn Rich is looking old.

Anyway, though Mike was trying to be equivocal about it, it's obvious he really wants to like the show and was being as forgiving as possible. He's a starved and desperate Star Trek superfan.
