Alright I had heard about these before and had nothing but pity for the women, but your post has opened me up to it bring fucking funny lol.I see that the farms has learned about one of the few things to make me fall into hysterical laughter.
I am howling, how is this real?! The fat, white hand holding this modern day Golliwog really ties it together.Yes, those are watermelon earrings.

They are quite impressive as art pieces (well, the competently made ones anyway) and they'd be great props for film or theatre where you need a baby and a real baby can't do the whole show or filming schedule or tolerate the lights and noises on stage, or one of those museums with mannequins in tableaux showing historical life scenes. Or cosplay, or church Nativity plays (though for those, nerd families usually dress up their kids and bring them to the con, or the baby Jesus is played by a new baby in the congregation). I can think of a bunch of uses for a realistic-looking baby doll, but these bitches go for the second creepiest use.Honestly it's such a big community now that a lot of the collectors and artists just like baby dolls. It's like a creepy version of guys painting warhammer or doing custom hot wheels cars. As kids they liked baby dolls, now they make fancy baby dolls for adults. There is definitely interest from vulnerable women, just look at how this thread started, but it tends to be pretty light hearted in the Facebook space. Also the ones that make morbid dolls are usually pretty goth/edgy. It's just art for them.
If she's into arts and crafts, she might enjoy learning to sew her own, too. You don't need much fabric (you can even use thrifted things or your own outgrown clothes, they don't need to fit a person) to make doll clothes and there aren't any long boring bits of sewing yard-long seams like for human clothes. I used to make ragdolls and clothes for them in my teens and student days as presents, if my buddy was into an anime or game or something I'd make them a doll of their favourite character for their birthday. Fur fabric makes good hair for them, or for longhaired characters you can get the cheap synthetic hair extensions they sell for black women's braids or cybergoths' dreads, or just cut up a costume wig. I made a set of dolls for my RPG group a couple of years back too, but most of the group are men so I labelled them "action figures" of their characters and they had a good laugh playing with them and putting them on their shelves with the game books.Honestly the best part about reborn dolls is that there's a lot more doll clothes on the market. I got my niece some 15ish inch reborn doll clothes from AliExpress for her build a bears and she loved them. Similar quality to the actual build a bear clothes for much cheaper![]()
It is, if you want more cyptid babies they are usually advertised as "ethnic" and "biracial". I've never seen anything as perfect as that one though.I am howling, how is this real?! The fat, white hand holding this modern day Golliwog really ties it together.
I'm always amazed at the artistry in the good ones. I knew a chick who used to carry one around, she let me hold it. It was incredibly uncanny and alarming as it feels like a real baby. Just cold and floppy, which makes your brain scream to save it.I can think of a bunch of uses for a realistic-looking baby doll, but these bitches go for the second creepiest use
Really puts the "Man-made" in "Man-made horrors beyond my comprehension"Here, have a chinese one:
