I have never heard anyone ever say eating fruit was bad or that carrots were bad. Unless this presumable landwhales are eating like all of their fruits dipped in pure sugar and fried, no ones telling them it's unhealthy besides hunbots trying to push shit. As for the salad part, yeah ranch is actually a little worse since it's more calorific and does ruin the amount of calories that salad naturally has. Again this just seems like people who said they were gonna go on a diet to real life friends and when the friends make comments about them not really doing that or trying to be helpful they go to tumblr to bitch about this random incident.

Eh, some pre-schools here have banned bananas, apples and pears already because "They're just sugar and super unhealthy, it's like feeding your kid pure sugar!", so it's probably in the same vein on these health food fanatics who only eat quinoa and kale and other superfoods or whatever.
It's not super common to hear that outside of parents like that, but it's kinda prevalent in alternative medicine circles too, but that's expected; as well as by some people who are obsessed with their weird fad diets.

That's the most exceptional thing I think I've heard of schools doing. In a country where childhood obesity is skyrocketing, I rather let little Billy have a fucking apple over a can of coke.
If anyone follows fad diets or alternative medicines I think that makes them exceptional off the bat. Most fad diets don't work or do more harm because people don't know that when you get off them you can gain the weight back twice as fast. Look at the Keto diet. Unless you had a small amount of carbs during it, once your get off and start eating carbs again your body gains the weight back extremely quickly.
