Mofftiss- aka Steven and Mark did an Answer Time on Tumblr very recently. My mutual made that rant because in their mind, by not making Sherlock and Watson gay lovers they've betrayed the fandom by not giving them what they wanted. So that post was basically a "don't think that we'll get excited just because you're coming back into the picture and answering Sherlock questions because we're still mad at you" bitch post.

The creators fucked the fans over just like how Trump fucked America over, is what she's saying. Even though Steven and Mark can do whatever they want because it's their show.

Mark Gatiss is gay and middle aged, he knows better than these millennial bitches what it’s like to be a gay man. I doubt he was tempting them with the John and Sherlock gay jokes, it was just the man enjoying himself.

I've seen more women and lesbians who are angry over this than actual gay men. In fact, I've yet to see a man rant about this at all.

No no see it works like this:

This evil MAN was QUEERBAITING the poor fans of this show by making those harmless jokes about two grown men making love because now all these fans are heartbroken that it’s not real.

Because now they don’t get to see two men bone on the BBC see some true and honest homosexual representation on the BBC.

I had read some paper that was submitted to an academic journal that discussed how a lot of actual gay men in Japan hated yaoi, and considered it to only further negative stereotypes about them, and that it was mostly women writing yaoi. It was attached to some Liberal Arts major's pisspoor attempt to justify yaoi that was supposedly handed in to the professor for an actual assignment grade.

Some Japanese gay men dislike yaoi because they're often unrealistic portrayals of gay relationships, but don't get worked up about it because 1.) it's so popular you might as well just accept it and move on, and 2.) the abuse & paraphilias in yaoi that tumblrinas bring up all the time to bash yaoi are just as prominent in manga written by gay men. Tumblr is blowing it way out of proportion.
