It's one of the most ethnically homogeneous places on earth. You're seen as a foreigner if one of your grandparents wasn't Japanese.
These people would be seen as tourists and outsiders if they ever visited the country they claim to speak for.

The only thing whatever-americans have of their heritage is their skin/traits, because everything else is just american. They speak english and have a point of view that is only american. Even if they still follow their heritage traditions/religion, it's an american version of it.

Dude, there is a surprisingly large community of adults who collect Monster High dolls. They're mostly women.

Admittedly, they're pretty cool for dolls, and something I probably would have liked as a little girl, despite not being big into fashion dolls. But I've heard stories of dudes showing up at a Wal-Mart when a shipment comes in, buying their whole supply, and then scalping them on eBay for inflated prices.
