I've known dogs who were rescues that just hated men. Could not stand them. Had no problem with women, though.

I've heard feminists use this as an argument, but, judging by things I saw/read, that's simply cause women who do abuse dogs usually don't leave them alive.

Let me give some info to explain this post because it won't make sense by itself. I'm pretty sure they're talking about this video:

This is why people don't take Tumblr seriously. Because if they actually watched the video they would know that the user made a good point about the characters. He didn't just whine and say "SJWs ruin muh media!". He made a concise, compelling argument on how these characters are awful because they bend the rules of the universe to their whim. And that makes for unappealing, unrelateable characters. It's no different from characters like the ones found in My Immortal.

But instead of watching the video and understanding that....they called this guy a "right-wing nationalist" when if you actually look through his channel (I did before making this comment) he isn't. He does mostly literature-related videos.

And the final point about young children really makes my blood boil. Young children need to be exposed to different ideas in a manner that explores their differences and development as growing individuals. Young children DO NOT need to be given constant self-gratification/ half-truths from people who aren't willing to tell them anything.

The people who advocate for this don't think of the implications all that will have on a chid. If your 4 year old girl says "I want to be a boy", then obviously you shouldn't smack her and call her a dirty lesbian (or whatever they think parents do who don't let their kids transition without question). But you also don't instantly change her name to Aiden, write emails to all her teachers saying that they have to call her "he", introduce her as your son etc. She'll learn that she gets more attention by acting this way, especially if she realises it makes mommy happy. Basically, there's no room for her to realise that it isn't what she wants, and she'll grow up thinking that's just how life is, and she'll be on those blockers and hormones before you know it. Particularly if you as a parent are pushing the whole "Look at how tolerant I am with my trans child" and getting involved with groups and getting attention from blogging about it or being interviewed for Vice.

Kids are simple. If a four year old girl says "I want to be a boy", ask her why. It's pretty much guaranteed to be something like "Boys are allowed to play in the mud" or "I want short hair" or "Boys are good at football". Because that's how kids think. If you respond to that by saying "Welp, guess you're a boy now!" you're just confirming to her that boys and girls are basically different species and there's no overlap. Just. Let your kid cut her hair and not wear dresses if she doesn't want to. Sign her up for kids football classes.
Same with boys, obviously. Let your son mess around with make-up or play with dolls, but that doesn't make him a girl. Don't start any of that shit until they're at least old enough to develop a sense of self-identify in the first place.

It's a lot easier for a child to decide that they're bored of a hobby or a haircut than it is for them to say "Actually mommy, I don't want to be a boy any more", particularly if they recognise that mommy is very much involved in them being trans. Although if a "trans" kid (or person) wants to do feminine things, wear a dress, grow "his" hair out... suddenly it's "okay to defy gender norms" and "wearing makeup and wearing dresses doesn't make you any less of a man". Weird that.

If they were really fighting for "autistic people of all abilities" then it's a lil funky how they only give attention to the self-sufficient, high-functioning members of the "autistic community" that have the ability to make long-winded tumblr posts and posts gifsets of themselves "stimming totally naturally guys this isn't phoned in for the camera at all : )"
Wouldn't the tumblr op, being the stunning and brave activist that they are, want to prioritize the low-functioning autistics that literally don't have a voice and are, by their own admission, sometimes trapped in environments where they can't be stable and happy? No, that'd make too much sense. Because they do want to ignore the negatives. They want to ignore them so fucking hard, because they're not aesthetically pleasing enough to be displayed on a colorful, trendy "stim blog uwu."
