Stumbled upon this. I don't think Tumblr understands that the reason why there's distinctions between different shades of blue is because they're most often describing the material used to make that specific pigment (for instance Cobalt Blue and Azure Blue use cobalt and azurite respectively) going back to when painters had to mix their own colors.

Microlabels aren't useful when it comes to gender and sexuality because there's a limited amount of variables to work with and everything else boils down to preference, so there's no use in inventing a specific label just to say "I like blondes" or "I don't fuck on the first date" or "I prefer baggier pants"
