I would say that's fair, but also mostly true of DC and marvel has gone full SJW.
To give some credit IDW a lot of the early transformers material was decent and they do a good job collecting old out of print material from the 80s/90s.
The fact remains that Arcee isn't the first anything other than botched robot surgery.
