I'm pretty sure the only reason why it's downvoted is that /r/shitwehraboossay came over to put the facts right.

I would point out that the other side goes too far, though. Claiming that the Iraq War in 2003, or even the first Gulf War in 1990, was because of the massacre of the Kurds in 1988 is laughable. The United States didn't turn against Iraq until Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait and threatened Saudi Arabia.

I don't know if it's a Conservapedia type deal where most of them are trolls and a few are true believers. On other subreddits I encountered the occasional supporter of SRS who seemed to be genuine, but you can never be sure.
