Meritocracy is an excuse used by types that want to keep the status quo of racial and gender nepotism who don't want to admit the system is rigged in their favor. Saying affirmative action is wrong because it goes against "meritocracy" is ignoring the fact that meritocracy would be completely unreachable if it wasn't for policies like affirmative action forcing it by de-rigging the system.

AngryDM continues to be a fixture on /r/drama. He's been posting 200-250 times a day, either on Ghazi or /r/LateStageCapitalism, which is what Ghazi wold be if GamerGate was capitalism. Here he is going full Chloe Sagat:

I was told by local clinics and doctors that there was NOTHING they could do, and in one case "It's in god's hands", which is a cynical way of saying "you have no medical insurance and corrective surgery would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars." The way medical people would carefully evade mentioning WHY "there was nothing they could do" grew more apparent and horrifying over time.

I took a longshot chance and applied for disability during this increasingly disabling period. After two rejections and hiring a lawyer, I finally saw the inside of a courtroom and put a human face and a lot of pain and hardship forward that sheets of paper could not express.

What kind of corrective surgery costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, and what it fixes isn't recognized as a medical disability? The wheelchair mentions make me think some kind of spinal thing, but the place it's being posted and the attention seeking nature of the post make me think the disability he's trying to correct is penis-having. Am I correct?

Yeah and he can't stop whining about it. He complains about it so much that it's pretty obvious he enjoys it. It must break up the monotony of slowly dying of kundishunz.

Pretty sure the only reason r/drama likes him so much is because his appalling behavior and tragic IRL circumstances are frighteningly similar to Colby_Klaus (and of course the fact that he keeps reacting to their prodding).

They're actually not taking it as bad as I thought, I expected much more dindooing. That said, it's still a lot of "innocent until proven guilty" for people who still think Emma Sulkowitz is a rape victim.
