I want to play some fan made Half-Life 2 campaigns. Most of them are on Steam Workshop. How can I get them to work with pirated H-L2? Please let me know. I'm installing WorkshopDL as I'm typing this. I have no idea if it'll work with "[dixen18] Half-Life 2 20th Anniversary", which I got from RuTracker.

I -think- what they are trying to do is compare this to how back in like the 90's you could get Disney movies for cheaper from some shady fuck on the street and said movie was just some faggot recording the entire thing on his camcorder in the movie theater so you could hear shit like crying babies and people getting out of their seats while the audio would sometimes be muffled to holy hell. WTF is this Zoomer revisionism. In the 90s, the high-IQ later-issue Gen X crew was using anti-Macrovision boxes to just dub VHS from rental stores. My cousin had a thicc "pirated" VHS collection.

Is there a reason you are playing pirated half life 2 instead of owning it? It is not 2010 anymore the game has been 2.50 many times. I understand this is the piracy general but trying to play workshop campaigns that may rely on updated SDK content will likely not work or be too much of a hassle.
