Phil has on several occasions made reference to having an Oedipus complex. For instance, at around 00:09 in this video he mentions it as one of the reasons he is "really evil":

Another instance is found in his rap lyrics, which he presents as being from an album called "Oedipus Complex" (the album seems as real as his country).

Could people more familiar with Phil's past shed any light on how Phil understands/interprets the idea of an Oedipus complex? Is he just using it as shorthand for "I hate my dad"? Or does he understand and yet still choose to embrace the additional connotation of "I have sexual desire for my mom"?

Is being Oedipal still a part of Phil's persona, or has he dropped it?

Considering that would be before his "straight male lusting after Corrie" and "gay male lusting after Dusty" phases, I'm not feeling this one. More likely he was just lazy and Oedipus isn't available in anime or manga form (or at least wasn't back then)
