Noticed a few things:
Characters have actual vocals now. By which I mean grunts and the like.

The partners actually emote rather than the usual bubble that they got in the original.

Anyways, in other news, spergs have analyzed the trailer and found that it may be running at 30fps, which if true is abysmal because the original was capped at 60.

You think we'll get any funny internet slapfights over Vivian? I'm not sure how much localization they might be changing for the remake, but I could see people getting mad and yelling either way. Probably not as much as the Bridget stuff, but still.

Why even remake this game, it's not like it's one of those early playstation titles where the age really brings it down, it's a gamecube game for god's sake. If anything, the crisp resolution makes all those low-poly models look out of place. And I guess they wanted you to notice the lighting because EVERY surface is polished to a mirror. I guess you can play it on a handheld now. Is this what getting old feels like?

The japanese keeps the "bakamon" (a casual version of "bakamono" and rude way to call someone stupid, moron or idiot) in both the original and remaster btw.

Funnily enough however, the "N" graffiti tags got altered in the remaster according to the trailer, and this is true in Japanese as well.

"Lunkhead" is an insult that's been around longer than anybody alive. Why localizers replaced airhead with it is beyond me.

I would, the prior direction of being some DDR offshoot cuz muh Mario & Luigi is the only RPG bullshit was annoying. Like origami had a good story but man was the combat ass.

It makes me wonder if they gonna keep the Japanese version's bunny girl outfits, the dead Toad chalk outline and other changes this time, or are they gonna cascade the English GC release's censored graphic changes back to Japan this time. They reverted back the TEC's camera eye being red for the announcement trailer of the remaster (and not blue like in the international GC release) hence why this is a rather confusing matter.



Sorta wish that fully separate SKUs by region were still a thing within Nintendo, instead of international multi-language releases, so I wouldn't have to worry about eventual visual censorship imposed by americans & anglos. Not to mention that I can spend half the price on new first-party Switch titles in Japan (through japanese download codes) while gaijins get to pay full-price.

I really would of preferred a remake of 64 instead since that game while imo already great(and better than ttyd to me) could use it a lot more with badges from TTYD, no level cap, TTYD's combat mechanics, some alterations to some partners(lady bow for example is completely useless against enemies with high defense), and more
TTYD is fine as it is and unless this remake addresses the biggest annoyance of backtracking with some sort of spin move like 64 had or more fast travel options I don't see a point even further

also the inevitable vivian shitstorm is going to be one of much entertainment
