Been playing the toxic himbo character for a few hours and like Juno I don't hate him. He is very Doomfist for babbies but like Ramatra (the best new hero) he is fun. I like the idea of his shield not being a shield but an aoe. Him and Brig are wicked toxic together and you have to kill Brig first or he is immortal. Ironically he is a massive Brig counter pick and her pairs with Mercy and Zen very well too. Honestly the only 2 shit heroes are Tranny and Canadian Robot their kits are just so boring. I bet tranny has the lowest pick rate in the game.

since i've been off Hero Shooters for a while now i can go into Marvel Rivals with the needles cope i see people have for it on steam since they come directly from OW2. It's not bad but this is early Hero Shooter atmosphere. It reminds me of year one overwatch which was fun because nobody knew wtf they were doing and just trying to have fun with the characters.

There are ALOT of really weird design decisions in rivals that confuse me.

Example: Spiderman, a squishy flanker, has a move that pulls people to him. Cool, you can isolate squishy targets. BUT, if you land a web shot, this move UPGRADES to pull YOU to the ENEMY. Completely isolating you and getting you blown up instead.

The game is still fun, but I would be lying if I said having the usual free to play no thumbs on my team going 0-20 every game didn't drive me crazy.

Punisher, Call of Duty Man of the game, doesn't have a sprint and his movement option which is a grapple is useful for getting you to high places but not necessarily to get you in and out of a fight since it can be easily predicted and countered.

Funnily enough the game is less serious than i thought it would be seems the majority appeal is people that don't actively tryhard at the game unlike Overwatch and for the most part a large part of the current community just likes messing around. It's still a relatively new game so we'll have to see in the future.

does it have a rank mode yet? that's usually when the sweats start to complain about MUH RANK MUH BALANCE. if it's just a clusterfuck you play for fun (like tf2) there's nothing for them, and you can actively gatekeep those pseudo MLG "cyber athlete" retards with "go back to ow faget"

It has a competitive out the gate but so far a lot of people don't seem to care that much about it. Most or either enjoying the game or thirsting over the characters (as per usual right?) but from what i've seen there are people who post their pro MLG plays but it's not in that way of people aping that way of playing the game and you have all these tryhards doing the same things because a ranked player did a cool thing.

I got the feeling it's because the game is still kind of new so people are more or less trying to actually have fun with the game but thankfully yeah i haven't ran into the one dude who has immediately chosen Marvel Rivals as the game they will no life for a few months so losing any game means everything to them.

hes a faggot scot yes, he's probably tied second with Orisa most annoying tank to face in the game (D.Va being the first)
 
Fuck the game is beyond dead, q times are longer than ever. If you want a few games before work and you live in the EU get fucked because games take at least 5 minutes as tank or healer. I think Microsoft are going to scrap support for the game this year.
