You must remember that with inflation only growing at the same rate as inflation is not growing. Line must go up to stand still. Inflation is one of the most insidious things ever conceived.

Also saying there is no more room for growth is saying that every need is filled every niche explored and every possible resource is utilized at theoretical maximum. If that is not the case there is room for the line to go up.

GDP is a shitty economic measure all around but it's the easiest one to calculate.

Its true, you should only support it for personal entertainment.

Children should be legally entitled to healthy bodies and parents who love and welcome them. In every other case, abortion should be required.
 
We need to return to most women being homesteads and men doing most of the jobs if society is to continue to survive. I'm not saying this to be ironic or troll or anything, I have heard the women and men in my family, my workplace, friends etc start to say this the past few years as if they are having a sudden epiphany when once having children they realize how fucked up it is they have to send their babies/toddlers away for exorbitant amounts of money to complete strangers so they can both work to pay for strangers to raise their own children. Everything is fucking retarded.

I think it's really just a placeholder for parts of physics we don't yet understand. Do those two items exist? Probably not in the way that is explained about them but it's our lack of understanding of them that makes the explanation pointless anyways.
 
AI is a tool that is being applied to use-cases that it really shouldn't be due to hype. Some of the things I see people using AI for, such as basic math and fact checking, is better done with "dumb" tools. It's kind of like being in a society where hammers were just invented, and everyone is using hammers for everything, regardless of how ill-suited to the task they are.
 
My take is that there has categorically never been a better time to be a young woman. I understand that this may be considerably less controversial on KF compared to real life.

The problem is that astronomy is science by cuckchair. Sitting on an overpass watching cars go by and saying you know how they work because you've seen 100k of them go by.

AI is a tool to cover up the enshitification of modern society. Its like putting a tablet or internet in everything. Its all just a way to hide the fact no real progress can be made because we have enough understanding of material science that no rational improvements can be made, so the only thing left is to cover everything up in shiny and new (while also dodging protective legislation). Its not a large corporations fault that their service went from a 99% up time to a 90% one, its AI freaking out (actually just a warehouse of illiterate third worlders doing the work shittily).
