The only thread I could find semi-related to this looked like gender war trash and this isn’t about gender war trash.

I get the ad on YouTube for Duet 2-3 times a day and I absolutely hate the ad as well as the app itself. I thought I’d give it a try if they were actually paying for advertisements, but it’s just the same as all the other stupid apps that aren’t the big 3 (Tinder, Bumble, Hinge).

There’s clearly been a decline in dating apps post-COVID, but my question is that who is investing in these apps? Is it just free money train? It seems like a huge pump-and-dump scheme.

I think the future will be a sort of “return” to traditional forms of dating, but that the time of the dating app (like Facebook) is essentially over & things like Tea prove it.

I'm convinced that dating apps are some sort of conspiracy. I normally don't Jew-sperg because I generally don't care all that much, but I will say that dating apps are one of the ways in which the faceless and amoral rich are preying on you to actively make your life worse.

This is worse than jewsperging though

I've experienced dating apps in the last decade and back then, you could still get something out of them.
Now however, half of the women there are just advertising their OF or other nonsense like that.
You can also get hookups but I'm not into that, prefer something a bit deeper.

Hopefully.
I've been doing that for a while now, talking to women IRL is a lot better and a lot of the "6 pack, 6 figures, 6 feet tall" bullshit isn't present when you have the benefit of eye to eye conversation.
Women are horrible on dating apps and on social media in general but in person, they're not that bad.

As a straight woman, I have had good experiences with Hinge. I don't understand what you guys' gripe with dating apps is. It is superior to irl dating because you get to see their dating intentions and other important information before even matching with someone, which leads to better compatibility. Figuring these things out face to face is more difficult and time-consuming. It gives you access to lots of people you could have never met in a regular setting. Online dating will only get more common because it is more efficient.

Does anyone ITT remember BOO? It was shilled everywhere last year, it had a ghost app icon dubiously similar to Snapchat and first-contact messages were called BOOs, and women auto-hid men's messages unless they chose to reveal the ghost. It was retarded, filled to the brim with the most obvious AI-looking characters as "people" ever, and the bios were all the same. The store was selling something like 3 BOOs for $39.99. SOMEONE out there is paying for that, because the App is still up.

Do this:
Get AI to genderswap your pics, then make a profile with those pics as a man and try getting a date with women.
You will understand why guys have issues with dating apps.

Dating apps are almost always way more productive for women than they are for men. After discussing experiences with multiple people of both sexes, it's night and day.

because it is more efficient.
I said no gender war stuff but how are you defining efficiency? In getting a relationship that leads to a commitment like marriage? I wouldn’t say so. Even the stat that gets passed around about what point of origin do people “meet” and now it’s like over 50% dating apps is incorrect.

I’ve matched with tons of girls I’ve thought that I was compatible with, based on their profile which has no bearing on them, and it turns out they’re X/Y/Z and I’m not interested.

The whole point of dating apps should be “selective eugenics” but it really isn’t. There’s also the psychological effect it has on women where they’re really using it to validate their feelings, not get into a commitment; this skews the actual main purpose (in theory) of a dating app, which also throws a horn into the “efficiency” claim.

But do real life alternatives have a significantly higher success rate? At least when someone is on a dating app, you know they actively want to be approached and what type of relationship they are looking for. If I was a guy, I would find it easier to get rejected on a dating app than face to face, especially by women I have to see often like those I know from work, school, etc.

I agree that hookup-oriented apps like Tinder do have a negative effect, making society more degenerate but Hinge is effective in helping people find serious relationships. Back in the day, they used to meet their spouses through shared circles. Nowadays, everybody is using the internet to socialize, thus a surprisingly large percentage of people do meet their spouses online, although not specifically on dating apps (lots of normies use social media as a dating app).

Relationships are for pussies.
Real volcel type shit 😤✊🏿

Question for you that I’ve noticed, why are women on the apps not all but many are so upfront with politics being the big factor in hard boundaries?

Ostatnio edytowane:
Relying on apps is for the weak. All that they do is that they generalize who you are so as to make it easier for people to skip on you, never knowing what potential you truly have as a partner.

I've always found it more engaging to try being with someone, when everything is out there on the table and whether that someone or you is going to bother with the effort of figuring it out organically.

I only match with fatties, crazies, single moms. Or sometimes even fat, crazy single moms. I'm in my late 20's.

Dating apps are a fucking joke and if you look into the gender ratio on them, you can see why. Shit's a sausagefest.
