Look, Oda’s age is passed onto the people he works with.
Kazuki Yao was the reason he changed the order of his own story (Thriller Bark was supposed to show up before Water 7, hence the "ghost" emphasis when the Merry was getting fixed and the fixture on the ship spirit aka the originally planned shipwright during Skypeia before the main event started).

Is everyone else who did something like this next in line for Dorian Gray treatment? Like the anime that influenced Germa 66 (because his kids liked it more)? Vicky the Viking? The former editors who know the ending? Everyone attached to the Netflix series?

I just can't imagine Brook at Enies Lobby. Thriller Bark ended up feeling like a bit of filler while introducing Brook, tying back the Laboon arc, and introducing Kuma as by this point they've antagonized the World Government and things begin to heat up. Skypiea worked because it already felt like Usopp wasn't pulling his weight as a crew member and was significantly underpowered compared to everyone else, which contributed to his falling out with Luffy during Water 7.
