Yeah, Jackson won mainly because everyone fucking hated JQA. Taft was also pretty fucking hated, and Wilson won because Republicans refused to get out and vote for him. FDR also was not very charismatic, and won mainly because, at the time, the depression was described as "Hoovering" over America. Get it? Hoovering? Like hovering but the president. Haha.

Let me be clear: I don't think Texas is going blue, but if early voter turnout is as high in swing states as it is in Texas, that is an ill omen. It comes down almost wholly to how many Republicans come out today and vote in person. However, I can report somewhat optimistically that I did have to wait at my polling station for two hours this morning to vote. It was absolutely packed.

I had to do mail-in ballot voting for Texas because I do a lot of work outside of my hometown. I requested my ballot in early September and it came on October 20.

Fuck mail-in ballots.
