There was a funeral IIRC for an "Alamariu"" at a Jewish synagogue. It almost definitely was BAP's great uncle.

Even though at first I thought the Jewish BAP thing is a catboy gayop, there's a much larger chance now that it is not. Alamariu is not a common name in Romania, Jewish or not. But Bernard is very atypical for a Romanian ethnic, while common for Jewish people, seems to be a common Americanization of Baruch (anyone Jewish feel free to drop in with more info).
BAP's dad seems quite dedicated to running (rather weak) defense for the Israeli state and its various policies, and I believe his FB is archived. He must be BAP's dad, why else would a retired boomer professor follow BAP on FB?
On the other hand, BAP seems quite broken from his Jewish ancestry, which is not uncommon among more secular, modern Jews. His book and older posts have passages where he is mocking and criticizing that identity and culture, albeit in a very weird, typical BAP way.

It is quite suspicious though that he remains employed ( I think) at some American university with that amount of shitposting. If he's really employed.
It's also suspicious that his book is sometimes praised in more mainstream conservative circles. I bet none of those idiots read it.
All in all, I have to conclude that BAP is very suspicious and his career and ascendance are suspect too. His ideas are spergy, impossible to put in practice, even if occasionally funny.

BAP's defense of Zionism and the state of Israel boil down to the claim the Zionists were conquering their inner bugmen. Look at that reaction from ZHPL - Groypers on the money! Look at how Zero HP Lovecraft takes the position of "I hope no one messes with Scott because they think I'm him". That's very sus. Why does he like Scott so much? He has a prior opinion and deferment/friendship feeling towards Scott Alexander - how does he know him? ZHPL should not be vouching for this stranger. Its very sus. Makes me think it's true and frankly Groypers have doxxed enough of their contemporaries to know what they're doing. Black Swan and Hiding wouldn't miss a chance to ruin someone's life, nor would they mess it up.

They're not close at all, ZHPL doesn't have the same grasp on psychological topics that you would expect a psychiatrist to have, and their writing styles read completely different from each other. Why doesn't he want Scott harassed? Maybe he's a good person who doesn't think some rando should be harassed and stalked by a bunch of crazy mestizos for randumb Internet beef he's not a part of? In these conditions, it's reasonable to expect some Jewish admixture within Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Russia.
However, BAP is not just a product of ethnic mixing, he seems to be really connected and linked in what's a rather obvious Jewish dominating structure in US academia, especially humanities. Even Eric Weinstein admitted that on Rogan.
