If you are not familiar with Housemarque, they were responsible for Resogun, Super Stardust, Outland, and Dead Nation. The gameplay is similar to their previous outings and is a twin stick shooter with bullet hell elements. Similar to games like Resogun and Defender you can collect human survivors to multiply your score. Eugene Jarvis who created the arcade classic Defender and worked on the Smash TV series, and NARC is behind Nex Machina. His influences can be felt strongly in this game. The twinstick shooting is solid and the soundtrack is even better.



Good stuff, definitely worth looking into!
 
Sadly enough Housemarque is probably gonna stop making arcade genre games now after Nex Machina failed to do well.
