I own real guns for a number of reasons. I shoot targets for fun, I go hunting sometimes for the challenge and for food, and I have them because I have a family to protect. A wife and son dude. I live in the suburbs, but that doesn't mean someone might not try to break into my house to steal my shit and hurt my family. In fact suburban homes get robbed a lot because they have nicer things than ghetto homes do.

I've never had to shoot anyone and I hope I never have to. But I will if my family is in danger.

Also, I AM a security guard. I don't work at a mall, but I do work in security. I don't currently work at an armed site, but I have in the past.

Ironic how the most rational, if not necessarily correct, argument against private ownership of firearms comes from a guy like Jace. That being said, it is even more ironic how deeply he embodies the same exact flaws he is pointing out, and to a rather extreme degree at that. But as another user said, this guy's all sour grapes and just pissed that Mommy won't let him buy a firearm anyway. And I actually facepalmed at his lack of safety awareness or training, and the thought that you can actually use a cheap airsoft pistol for personal defense. I know this is Jace, but seriously, what the fuck.

For personal defense, I tend to rely on my knowledge of the Force and my skill with a lightsaber, but I honestly don't mind the look and feel of a good, solid blaster.
