Don’t know if these are worth mentioning, but in the Firefox browser, when you right-click and select ‘Open video in new tab’ this is what opens instead of the video. Also, in my opinion, the pause icon stays far too long when you move the mouse away from the video.
have you guys never seen a video player on any other site before? like kick or twitch or x? do I have to disable the right click menu to stop getting this question?
@Null may I suggest the ability to control the volume of audio before hitting play because I dont want my ears to be brutally raped because it would be so awesome, it would be so cool
Same. I usually do that every time before hitting play, now I'm losing the first few seconds of video fiddling with it and waiting for controls to fade out.
Also, is there something weird happening with the audio encoding? Every single video I've played in the new player has been louder than usual, even when cranked down to almost nothing.
I honestly found .rm files to be impressive at the time, taking a 30 min video and compressing them down to 35 - 50 megs. When "intros" were the big thing back in the day, we would use .rm as an option if it didn't call for .swf to present on a website.
I think Huggingface has public test versions of NVidia Parakeet, so you can get a preview if you upload the video there (assuming Null is hip to the newest shit and goes for Parakeet).

You can at least middle-click the video on all the sites you mentioned, and it opens the link in a new tab. Right now, you have to press play, stop the video, and then middle-click the little download icon in the corner to get the same result.
