Giantbomb's community is part sjw and part normal users.
Things got bad when Patrick was on the site but as far as I know they don't stomp people's opinions into the dust so Gaffers are gonna have a hard time settling in there.
Same with /v/ even if they are far more tame than they used to be.
Geonaf seems like the best chance they have but right now they don't have mods to watch over anything and they might not get any of the old ones back either.

This rarely works because the ex-members have a harder time letting it go. Trying to go "I'll make a better NeoGAF! With booze! And hookers!" is not like actually starting anew.
