Are there any actual discussions happening over at resetera ? I don't follow to many threads but as far as I can tell it's more like a glorified news aggregator at this point. Or just the same safe responses and opinions in every thread. As you said and what we all know the moment you diverge from what the mods deem acceptable or become overtly critical of certain untouchable topics or opinions you are out.

There is a small group of community threads on etcetera that have a higher-than-average quality with genuine informative material beyond the unceasing troonery.
This is mostly because their traffic is low enough to evade detection by the staff and their pets, though it's quite common to see them go unmaintained because they went after the thread's OP.
This is likely the reasoning why dumbs created the hidden rule that etcetera OTs get deleted after 3 months, can't have quality get too high.
i look at a bunch of these banned posts, and 95% of the time i don't even know why they are banned.
Even a guy asking about "whether people are engaging in piracy" as a question gets banned lmao. The other guy says, "i dunno, I don't want to get banned" also gets banned.
