The corporate overlords can't be happy to see the forum they bought withering away, so requiring quarterly refreshes of the community threads would boost those numbers, as artificially as any pump and dump scheme boosts numbers for a bit.
What did they expect? They should have just bought the name, fired all the mods and "reset" ResetEra, although its reputation was already so bad at that point that how didn't they know? Somehow, Cerium is laughing his ass off at pawning this property off to suckers at an exorbitant price.
I know it's Razorfist but he gives a good analysis of the entirety of evidence the jury saw (who unanimously rejected the charges he was facing). I'm not convinced he's proven innocent, but it's very clear the prosecution did not convince the jury of that. Even the original civil case he settled had more credible witnesses.
Was he a pedophile who actually molested children? There's some smoke there. But did the prosecution pick real victims? I don't think so.
Don't know if it was already asked, but do you see REE stay up for another 5 or 6 years or will it get shut down and replaced (or not)? They're like sitting ducks, how have they not been raided by some troll/chud/gore spammer/Discord pedo group?
Because they demand an email connected to an irl identity, and instantly ban anyone for anything, achieving a lot of friendly fire in the process because someone did something unforgivable like actually talk about games.
