He and uzzy did the same with stellar blade, flooding their respective discords with screenshots. It's their way of projecting a form of power.

The moderator corps is extremely large and active compared to it's actual userbase, the site stats might lead you to believe otherwise but nep-nep admitted that about half of them were banned and that was during 'rona.
There is also a subtle but significant difference in their modus operandi compared to for example kiwifarms where mods don't use "Is there anything about this post that dignifies a ban?" to evaluate but instead use the question "Is there any merit to not banning this?" comparable to north korea or the UK.
Besides mods there is a large force of users that keep the reports queue topped up (so called Flaggots).

Will definitely stay up. Cost of running the site should be trivial.

The only one with an actual salary is the Admin who is probably not paid all that much.
Everyone else works for free.
And it is a basic Xeno-fora site. They do not cost millions of dollars a month in server cost.
A few tens of thousands a month, at most.

So, with the ads they are basically printing money.
No way ree will shut down. It is pure profit at a trivial cost.

some norway or whatever company bought resetERA from the "owner" who basically scammed everyone else and walked away with a million or two, and the retards still admin/mod the site for peanuts and nobody else got any part of the payout (the head admin "bought out" the shares from everyone else quietly). Its hilarious as hell, and one of the best ways to get any of the mods pissed off is innocently bring it up. MOBA networks or some shit like that.

but anyways the new owner is in rough financial shape (public company) so I'd expect a big upheaval from them in the next year or two, like selling to some more retarded company for pennies and the site turning into whatevers popular at the moment, like AI slop generator or hentai choose your adventure or whatever the fuck.

50/50 on whether the site does another re-migration when that happens, either way the site is constantly shrinking. Like a third of the new threads are made by just a handful of users (admins/mods) now. I'd expect whatever pay the mods/admins are getting to be scaled back hard soon, it'll be fun to see what happens when that happens. Probably some of them try to set up a gofundme or whatever, while telling everyone how late stage capitalism is killing their unborn trans poo baby.

The only compensation the mods are known to be getting are a custom xenforo title and entry into sweepstakes (i think Nibel or ZhugeEx confirmed that one), i reckon the prizes are probably random humblebundle and g2a keys for meeting quotas.
