If they are not willing to entertain the idea of banning other games, then I am not entirely sure why they would approve of banning Hogwarts Legacy. Surely a simpleton would realize that if you start allowing one game ban to be banned, soon people will start asking for other games to have similar bans.

Not sure if Knockout is considered on-topic for this thread, but its handling of the Genocidal Wizard Game threat is similarly ludicrous to ResetEra.
They ran a poll on whether or not to ban discussion. The users voted 255-33 to allow Trannycide Legacy threads. So they banned it anyway.

Because that's how democracy works: the people fewest in number get majority-overriding representation!
I think I saw Nepenthe saying they made the ban decision after talking to everyone in their community. I wonder if ResetEra ran a similar poll, and whether that claim holds up, or if they made the same "troons most affected" determination.

Don't worry, people already figured this all out. Fair trials and innocent until proven guilty and so on are just bougie rights established to protect capitalism and white supremacy. There's no need for any of that when the People rule.

Speaking of bougie rights, they're often very angry about the idea of minority rights that might protect individuals or disfavored groups from having their speech or guns or whatever else squashed by the state in the name of the majority but they're usually very happy to discard all the trappings of democracy for opaque minority rule based on superficial things like demographics. At least when it's an approved minority. All the while proclaiming that the top-down enforcement of the views of a self-selected elite is more truly democratic than voluntary and peaceful association because these elite (who oddly always seem to agree with the person) have an unique ability to tap into the divine thoughts of the collective People and thus act in their true interests rather than merely the ones they express.

Given those highly informative texts you posted, I'm going to assume you already know about the concept of so-called "false consciousness". It's an important aspect of everything from Gnosticism to Marxism and even current woke ideology. I bring it up because that's how they can "justify" overruling others, even if they themselves don't know it's the justification they're using.

I really don't get the drama over atomic heart, yeah the studio was originally located in russia but not only it hasn't been ever since the war began it also isn't just russians, even ukrainians are working there. Can't even argue that the RU gov is getting money off of it because well, they aren't lol. It never fails to amaze me watching burgers decide to condemn war this hard and yet play everything their own country has released in the last three decades.

I've been pretty burnt out on modern games, but I might try this one because ResetEra told me about it. Looks kinda like bioshock gameplay in retrofuturistic USSR? The environment looks cool and the only hate I'm seeing it get is because it's somehow tangentally related to the latest slav fight? Like I genuinely dislike war and wish Russia wouldn't start shit over some other land of commie blocs and farms because I don't like people killing and dying for no reason, but this is somehow even more of a reach than people playing Harry Potter killing trans people in the US. I don't think the game studio is doing Russia's foreign policy.
E: didn't know about sexy robot women, obviously the worst thing that could be in a video game is attractive people robots in the glorious communist future world
