I don't think Enter really learns from shows he watches, so much as he picks and chooses things he likes about them, and then treats them as rules that all writers should follow. Of course, he doesn't necessarily follow those rules himself, since Enter thinks that he's a creative genius, and that Growing Around is a masterpiece, so in his mind, he's above the rules he sets for other writers. In other words:

Yep, that's pretty much it. An example I can think of to expand on this particular topic is his dislike of toilet humour. He rants and raves about it in his Mega Babies reviews and such, and yet writes a horse character into his show that consists of nothing but fart jokes and doesn't add to the plot or characters like, say, Waddles from Gravity Falls. Make of that what you will.

And don't forget, all of his characters are supposedly "NOT STUPID and NOT AN ASSHOLE", and yet Sally is both of those things to unbearable degrees.
