The bigger question is why you're bothering? With mods and that version, you're going to leak to at least an extra gig of ram at that limit from longer play, so you may as well feed it 1.5 and cut out the middleman.shockingly found that when set to a min and max of 1024mb of ram its actually stable w/ and w/o mods.
Yeah of course it took less, you weren't triggering (possibly cascading!) worldgen.of course there are moments where it reaches that threshold, where the game will then lagspike and then bump back down to around 500-700mb being used. those moments happen when loading in new chunks, or at the very least when running around. when messing in my base it never occurred.
i saw a comment somewhere on a minecraft thread (possibly the one that got sponsored? the guy who got hacked?) stating that 1.12.2 has horrible memory allocation. thus i took it upon myself to see what i can do with it, thus here i am with the results curious if others have done something similar. The bigger question is why you're bothering?
i noticed this only when i started digging down where bedrock was generating much earlier than was expected. either this is the result of a mod, or what you say here is absolutely correct. can't neglect the fact that there are an absurd amount of villages....................... (although im fairly certain this is an MCA thing where it makes villages much more common to showcase its features more.)Yeah of course it took less, you weren't triggering (possibly cascading!) worldgen.
nearly 2 decades behind moders again award.Sure Mojang, immolate your game's 17-year old art style to appease the builder crowd.

gaping asses and cliffs that changed it.I think I was thinking of the one before that, which created giant biomes like 256 high. That was pretty cool and killed boredom during lockdowns
could be worse. they could have appealed to the pvp subhumans or redstoners.Sure Mojang, immolate your game's 17-year old art style to appease the builder crowd.
They immolated the art style like 7 years ago when they redid the textures and the animal texture update was the final nail in the coffinSure Mojang, immolate your game's 17-year old art style to appease the builder crowd.
1.9 was a disaster, but 1.5 was okay.they could have appealed to the pvp subhumans or redstoners.
Trial chambers and wind charges were for combat players and actually ended up being one of the better additions in recent years. Sculk on the other hand made half of redstone components obsolete by just existing, never mind its awful animation and texture.could be worse. they could have appealed to the pvp subhumans or redstoners.
True, but it feels like they've finally given up on "limitation breeds creativity" in favor of just adding endless blocks so that people don't make fun of them for being lazy. Even vertical slabs wouldn't be as sacrilegious as endlessly shuffleable and rearrangeable "cushions";They immolated the art style like 7 years ago when they redid the textures and the animal texture update was the final nail in the coffin
I wish Mojang would make actual wireless redstone. Sculk not only looks awful but sounds awful too. A proper way to make gates that are wider than two blocks would be nice too.Trial chambers and wind charges were for combat players and actually ended up being one of the better additions in recent years. ayo nigger is this the pack?Yeah, sort of...I kinda gave up since interest died down a few years ago.
The pack doesn't exist anymore if I remember correctly.
If you want to make a modded kiwi server though, I'd say there are pretty good options compared to even a couple years ago. A lot of old mods on 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 got newer community versions that fix tons of bugs and add new content. There has also been a lot of backports.
>15 blocks per secondSure Mojang, immolate your game's 17-year old art style to appease the builder crowd.

Doesn't even matter. An intersection between the mechanics of copper golems and lodestones created an exploit which players can abuse to teleport infinite distances. 7 months after its discovery Mojang still hasn't patched it despite it trivializing all other transport methods.>15 blocks per second
minecarts found dead in a ditch again
If we're just throwing the design doc to the wind, I want a better display block than the item frame too Mojang. No the Tuff Golem doesn't count.Sure Mojang, immolate your game's 17-year old art style to appease the builder crowd.
