minecraft the movie - aka autism the movie; aka stuck in development hell
Holy Christ in heaven this looks awful. If you went back in time and showed this to my 14 year old self, I'd say you were pulling my leg. It looks worse than decade old animations, how does that happen?
How much blackmail on hollywood execs do you need to be as garbage, talentless and a non-draw as jack black and still get parts in fucking everything? Him and fucking seth rogan are a mystery to me.
Can't wait to see this shit lose millions.
Why does Jack Black literally look like he just walked onto the set and they started filming him.
Steve doesn’t have a massive beard and ironically, with all the talk of wokeness, I would’ve accepted Steve being swarthy or mixed race or something because he’s pretty dark in the game. (Honestly Jason Maomoa would have been good but I guess he’s a cross dresser in this looking at the trailer)
But of course, the whole thing is retarded, trying to put a personality or character on Steve. Notch literally added Steve because Steve was a leftover background asset from another game Notch was working on and was too lazy to remove it.
8 years late to ironically state that it won't match up to Telltale Minecraft, just in time to unironically state that it won't match up to the Telltale Minecraft:

Remember how the overwhelming backlash to the Sonic movie trailer caused Paramount to delay the movie so that Sonic could actually look like Sonic and not whatever the fuck that thing was? Yeah, I don't see Warner doing anything to fix this mess in order to save the film from being a box office bomb.
After the atrocity and box office nuclear bomb known as Borderlands, what gives anyone any sort of confidence that this will be successful? Minecraft hasn't been a popularly discussed or played game in how long now? 5 years?
Good films don't make money. If they do, it is a result of enough people memeing it and causing enough curiosity in the general public to pay money to see it.
