The game, ironically enough, stars the same mystery meat mutt as Mafia 3, and it's a repeat of that game. Great map and vehicle models, everything else is dog vomit.

Studio will probably go under after literally one game.
They had 2 C level executives leave before the launch of the game, and have already begun layoffs. Investors are going to be pissed that it managed to do better than Concord and basically nothing else for the >$150,000,000 thrown at this pile of slop.
With even Sony issuing refunds https://gamerant.com/mindseye-playstation-store-refund/ , with the only previous time they've done that was Cyberpunk 2077 but at least that studio had The Witcher as a franchise and an entire marketplace(GOG) providing revenue to fund fixing shit. This Build A Rocket Boy studio doesn't have any of that. It's not a matter of probably going under, that's already in progress.

So much for their EVERYWHERE title, which was what MindsEye was built on.
I think that's probably one of the most pathetic takes from someone at a game studio I've seen, and that was months before launch even.

Even if they polish MindsEye to a playable state, it looks boring as hell. If it was a movie, it'd probably be bargain bin within a month.

It's so funny how all of these modern shitty mission based driving/third person shooting games like Mafia 3, SR2022 and Mindseye make the ones from 20 some odd years ago look like masterpieces (Driv3r and both True Crime games on the PS2 for example)
I'm of the opinion that the entirety of BARB (very unfortunate acronym, imagine having your studio's acronym be a boomer woman name lmao) - the EVERYWHERE NFT blockchain shit, Mindseye and god only knows what else was all just an elaborate money laundering scheme at this point.

I watched this video having randomly come across it in recommended and putting it on another monitor as background noise. I had heard literally nothing about this game and just assumed it was some mid-budget venture capital tax write off. I was surprised when I checked the comments and learned that there was apparently excitement for this game and that it cost $150 million. Given that almost every character looks like a 56% meme and the shooting looks worse than GTA IV's I was struggling to figure out what the point even was.

Been watching a few videos of this thing and it looks like an asset-flip GTAV steam shovelware clone coded in UE5 with a 6th gen/RTX 2060 as baseline target, with zero to do implemented, just trying to sell it on shoot/drive and cinematics...except the ugly-as-shit Diversity Squad main characters all look like various species of gibbons. The mayoral or senatorial candidate lady has literally NO CHIN, and the Musk stand-in looks (and sounds a bit) like Jesse Pinkman - 2019 called and they want that attempt at relevance back.

Angry Joe's review on MindsEye. It's an hour long. Padding, glitches, strict linear mission design, bad AI, poor writing. I bet Mafia III has more freedom than this.
