The MGS2 fixes are still coming, the next version of MGSHDFix will restore the missing color filters from some scenes in MGS2 (Some examples include when Snake's stealth camo breaks in Tanker, or when Raiden first interacts with a node and gets shocked in Plant, both of which had subtle color changes that were missing in the HD collection ports.) Future updates will include the classic Thermal Goggles look from PS2 (which looks more like how they did in MGS1, red and black color scheme), and the missing UI/HUD trails when swimming.

Hope it has the ability to play your own music via the I-pod (on PC). And the lines about pressure sensitive controller inputs and the motion controls reminds me that even in terms of controllers we're getting away from greater interactivity. I'm also assessing MGO isn't going to be a thing? Despite the seemingly rabid dedicated fanbase for it. I'd like to play it myself, but we'll probably get foxhunt 2.0, yuck.

Yep.

Can't wait to see a MGS2 suit mod. I'm looking more forward to this than the next faggot GTA.

Asssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.... well there goes my purchase. I want to play MGO, genuinely, looks fun. I can emulate 4 any time I want, but MGO requires a couple extra hoops. They'd have a winner if they could just not be Konami for 5 seconds and learn from MGS3's fox hunt fiasco. But no, having any sort of hope or desire for expectations to be exceeded in the modern day is a recipe for disappointment.

MGSV got updated for the first time in five years last night for some dumb shit (end of life terms of service thing for various countries, apparently) and I'm seeing chatter that installing it bricks the mods you have installed and you have to go through the process of reinstalling them all again and downgrading versions since nothing is updated yet. Goddamnit.
:lossmanjack:

I backed up my game files, haven't installed yet. That's annoying!

e: Looks like some stuff is starting to update (like IHHook).

Actual zealous lawsuit, or just a formality to protect the brand in Japan?
It's more like this. Replace IP with source code and it's no wonder we get dogshit demasters, HD ports and everything based loosely on source codes and erroneous porting processes rather than having the straight up code that fans can work on in less time than major studios could.

Genuinely fuck copyright law when it comes to this stuff. It's why you don't see so much iteration in gaming anymore. No soup to work with, no good talented cooks, no meaningful source codes people with real talent and passion have access to. Just closed door bullshit and engines like unreal 1 and 2 held from the public because of middleware.

All the source code for a 2001 game leaking did was improve everything that needed improvement, and finally opened gates to restore a lot of ideas they couldn't implement. Something Konami or Bluepoint could never do despite having access.

What's the issue? Konami didn't make money off of it. While they whore out their Silent Hill IP to breadcrumb mediocre studios.

Suing Buzzheavier is going to be completely futile, since their entire business model is "host copyrighted shit with 0 consequence". They're also hosted in India.

They might have a shot with Pixeldrain, since they actually keep logs, and they banned most Tor IPs, so that gives them the chance to grab what could might be an actual IP they can work with.

They also have a decent shot with 4chan, although I don't really know how well they're doing with all those rVPN bypasses.

I love how much game companies seethe whenever fans manage to leak cool old stuff that they were never going to do anything with anyways. Can't let the dumb plebs get their hands on anything they're genuinely interested in. SUFFER, KONAMI.
