All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

I don't think the next set of primaries will be the anticipated shitstorm the media is making it out to be. Cruz teaming up with Kasich to #StopTrump won't help in the slightest considering Kasich is such a weak player. Kasich's massive ego pretty much created this scenario with the delegates.

I hear Kasich is focusing on Oregon and Cruz on Indiana, and let me say, Cruz is not well liked in Indiana, Trump is definitely the reigning king of the Republicans here.
Cruz's best bet at the moment is to try and court the 50+ unbound delegates from Pennsylvania to his side.

Trump is still stoppable in Indiana. That development could help Cruz. Still, if polling holds up elsewhere trump will only be 40-60 delegates down. He could make that gap up.

I don't know if I should be happy or sad with this polling. I'm still conflicted on whether I want to see Trump the nominee, or the contested convention. Trump being the nominee seems like a pretty good way of rolling over and allowing a Democratic win in the general, in addition to a highly amusing election. But at the same time I'm incredibly hyped for the prospect of an absolute clusterfuck that would be the most unpredictable contested convention in history, though it runs a significant risk of not nominating Trump.

If Trump is not nominated it would essentially be the GOP hanging themselves. There would not be a GOP by 2020.

This happens alot in American history actually. One of the two parties will collapse in on itself and basically reform either under a new name or keep the name but either move around a bit to the left or right. The Whig party is a pretty good example of this, as is the clusterfuck that was the 1912 election. in which the republican party saw a very similar collapse.

The only issue is if the GOP is forced to restructure after this election is where do they go. Do they try to move back to be being more moderate or do they go even further right?

I think they are going to become a right wing populist party focusing on cultural issues but being economically in the center. That will probably get a lot more poor people to vote republican

I can't link it here now but there's a new poll out showing trump breaking 50% nationally.

Also kasich told his supporters to vote for him anyway in Indiana. The pact between him and Cruz has already fallen apart.
