this is morbius-levels of humiliation for them lol. s2 is great, to bungie's credit they have listened to the extensive, legitimate list of complaints about ux and quality of life things. but it's hard to get too excited b/c this is the state the game could have shipped in had they done any kind of user testing before launch. that would have prevented a lot of the immediate retention loss they had at launch, but it's not going to bring people back. if sony is willing to pay for a year of development in the hope of salvaging the game, and they keep up with this rate of improvement, then maybe in december or next march the game will be so different that they can re-launch it and people will give it a second look. i'm new to bungie's behavior but that seems super unlikely given how bad they are at management. seems more likely they keep pushing incremental content outdates, and the 50k-100k core of sweaty vets burn out and move onto something else before the game hits a critical mass of players.
