Oh can you not set up an alternate one? I was going to just create a dummy steam acct
We wretched console plebs have to pay for online, so I'd need to also set up a free trial for PS+.

I might do the Steam account instead if my PC can run it, since I don't really want Marathon appearing in my trophy library when I know it is never getting platinumed.

>similar to destiny 2 while costing 10% of a monkeyzillian minimum wage

one huge difference between diestiny 2 and marathon is that D2 is fucking free

This last week of S1 has been a lot of fun. It finally feels like there is loot on the map. Every match has one or more teams opening locked rooms, everyone is bringing in their best gear, and people are more than happy to do just about anything. It’s no big deal if you lose a purple and gold load out, chances are you’ll win it back and then some in the next match.

Maybe this is how the game was always meant to be played. I’ve been learning the cryo map slowly. It seems like if you don’t have a ‘mizzy’ shot gun with the slick mags mod and bubble shields to spam then it’s not a map you want to play.

I also think most people are playing the map wrong. I think you ideally want to leave the second your bags are full. It might be because everything is going into the trash can tomorrow, so fuck it, embrace biblical levels of greed and bet it all on a single run.

Also new PvP lite mode announced.

Single team of 3 loads into Nightmarsh with sponsor kits. Rooks back full behind them. They have 18 minutes to survive, final extract is the only extract.

Might be very huggy or absolutely diabolical depending on how the rooks choose to interact.

The drop following this peak is going to be beautiful.
The state of play was AWFUL to, almost no actual exclusives and the only two were A. until dawn 2, 10 fucking years after the first and B. God of War: Wife Edition.

Wolverine too, I guess? Atleast it’s bloody and visceral unlike the shitty Spider-Man games, but that whole stream sucked, especially the marathon trailer which was just the trailer they already put out. Numbers are gonna drop for sure.

Severs are down already to fix something that is causing them to crash, which is apparently a pretty typical thing when Bungo releases DLC according to Destiny people
Yeah. Just about every launch for destiny 2, even the seasons, had the servers break day 1, they've had 15 years of live service experience and still can't launch something without the servers fucking dying.

This shit hit like 30k and the servers exploded.

What a beautiful trainwreck.

This shit is a fucking Greek tragedy, this retard studio gets one final hail mary and they can't even keep the servers up long enough for the possibility of success.
this is morbius-levels of humiliation for them lol. s2 is great, to bungie's credit they have listened to the extensive, legitimate list of complaints about ux and quality of life things. but it's hard to get too excited b/c this is the state the game could have shipped in had they done any kind of user testing before launch. that would have prevented a lot of the immediate retention loss they had at launch, but it's not going to bring people back. if sony is willing to pay for a year of development in the hope of salvaging the game, and they keep up with this rate of improvement, then maybe in december or next march the game will be so different that they can re-launch it and people will give it a second look. i'm new to bungie's behavior but that seems super unlikely given how bad they are at management. seems more likely they keep pushing incremental content outdates, and the 50k-100k core of sweaty vets burn out and move onto something else before the game hits a critical mass of players.
