Old pokemon card talk for some reason reminded me I had the mecha mewtwo card back in the day made to promote the very clearly slapped together live musical. I don't think Ralph's shit is a mystery, he's somebody whose life has melted through his fingers just like his brain, and he has nobody to blame but himself for it, and that's utterly intolerable to an egotist. There are always niche bands who have a certain quality about them but lack the insight, or the ability, or the willingness to develop it. The "Orthopedic Underwear" connection with Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 is kind of a gag from the original game. There's a flashback scene narrated by Cloud about his return to their hometown, Nibelheim. While there, you can go into Tifa's room and search her wardrobe. Cloud will loot "Orthopedic Underwear" and Tifa, in the present, will fuss at him for it. Since Tifa has huge boobs she needs undergarments with extra support so her back doesn't hurt. It is kind of a big titty joke exclusive to the English version because of the way they translated the words 「ちょっと背のびパンツ」(chotto senobi pantsu).
In Japanese you blatantly find her panties, because Japan. But the words chotto senobi can mean a few things. The easiest way to translate it could be something like "slightly stretchy" but that word for stretching, senobi, also has a meaning of trying to seem bigger/older/more mature than you really are, so it could also be read as panties slightly more mature than someone her age should be wearing.
