Also there are plenty of non-Western cultures that recognize more than two genders and have done so for a very long time. Hijras in India, two-spirits in many Native American cultures, Muxe in southern Mexico, etc. Gender isn't a concrete thing (unlike sex, which is biologically based as you said), so cultures interpret what gender is and how to express one's gender identity in various ways. The two-gender system is just the most common and one that the West has latched onto for centuries. What the West might see as a feminine acting male might be categorized as a third gender by another culture. The West has started to accept nonbinary too; it's in the dictionary now. Just something to keep in mind.
To get back on topic, I find it...incredibly uncomfortable that an adult is wanting to push the label of "queer" onto children. I don't think being LGBT is inherently sexual, and honestly I think some of you should rethink why you think it is, considering heterosexual culture is normalized with children. If playing house with a "husband" and "wife" is not seen as sexual, I don't think it's a big deal to talk to them about what a gay person is or basic gender stuff. But using "queer" is not really an appropriate term for children. It has origins of being used as a slur and is used as a more sexual term in the community today. So to make stickers saying "My child is queer!" just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Why even announce that to the world anyway? It'd be just as weird to have a bumper sticker that says "My child is straight!" because yelling out what your 5 year old's orientation is is fucking weird.

I remember hearing about this chick about a week ago because of Bearing mocking her. Almost can't stand sitting through one of her things without some kind of snark, tbh, because she's a cringey werdo that just has a certain look.

I think it would be a bit difficult to explain to children about LGBT, mostly because they wouldn't care or get what their being told. The way Lindsay explains it is creepy.
Heterosexual culture is normalized because that's what most kids are exposed to. Being homosexual might not be inherently a sexual thing but some questions should be put on hold until they're older. They'd understand better.

I noped the hell out of that video. I don't care what Freud or whomever said, kids don't think about sex until adults bring it up. And then they think it's an adult thing and because they want to be adults, they assume sex is a thing they should do.
Would not be surprised if this lady turned out to be a pedo in the near future. Who the fuck tells kids that sex is amazing? Pedos. That's it.

I want to slap people who say babies are "assigned" at birth.
99.9% of people are "assigned" correctly and I'm pretty sure that it's not a coincidence.
Not saying trans people or hell, even non binary people don't exist and aren't a legit thing, but just because .1% of people aren't born cis doesn't mean it's unreasonable/wrong/bigoted to say that gender correlates to sex.

That is still something kids don't care about anyway. They want to talk about legos and pokemon and dinosaurs, not what their classmate or they has in terms of genitalia or ambiguities of genitalia.
It's also:
1. Still a statistical anomaly.
2. Not a separate gender/sex, like how someone not having an arm is not a separate species.
3. A lot of intersex people still associate themselves with being one of the two genders anyway.
4. Not part of the LGBT community.
