This was gonna be a botw character I apparently never saw this unused shit till now lmao

Dude looks like a mother/earthbound enemy mixed with some shit out of windwaker and I can tell immediately how he'd show up given he was originally supposed to be the horse god before what we got with "ambiguous demonic ghost of malon" in the final game.

Dude imagine you're gonna meet another obese great fairy and it's instead just a ripped horse man lmao
They seem to just make a lot of off-the-wall concept art for the Hell of it. Like that awful "modern Link" design where he has a guitar.

Thing is this one seems like something that'd be in the game 100% if they just leaned a bit more into the wackier factors of it.

Wonder what the next main Zelda game is gonna be? Part of me wants a direct sequel to TOTK A) to see if Nintendo are bankrupt enough to try and sell people the same game for a third time and B) because I'm weirdly compelled by some of those characters. I wanna see if Hudson Construction Company goes belly up because Rhondson took half in the divorce
another obese great fairy
The great fairies aren't obese, they're thicc. There's a difference!

If they flooded the map and introduced diving and iron boots I'd play it. I asked my son what he thought next Zelda would be like and he said "eh they're just gonna keep porting BOTW and TOTK, there won't be any more Zelda games." Maybe he's right

I think Twilight Princess had the sort of scale that the OOT Remake should be aiming for.
Yeah but Twilight Princess also had a lot of pointless shit that you have to do before you can even get to the first dungeon.

I love Twilight Princess more but Breath of the Wild does one thing really well. The exploration and the open world gameplay. Just, no bullshit, straight in. Twilight Princess, I think you're an hour in before you've even got to the first dungeon.

TP and TWW both have the problem of an intro that takes way too long. The set-up is nice thematically, but I just want them to get going already. I usually make an extra save for TP at around the start of the Faron tears and reload/copy that whenever I want to replay TP. The tutorial and bullshit with the kids and then meeting Midna just drags,

I dunno, what would you consider Wind Waker's 'intro'? Because, from what I remember, Wind Waker is straight in there, more or less. About the same amount as Ocarina or Majora.
I consider the Forsaken Fortress part of the intro. Stealth sections where you get sent back to the very start of the zone if you get caught are never, ever fun. There's the tedious rope swinging game between Outset and the FF as well.

As would I but it's still basically a dungeon
I mean it literally is a dungeon. You go back there later and do more of it minus the stealth thing.

What annoyed me wasn't the go through at the start of the game but rather each time I had to sail past it or near it being stopped, turned around, and told in an unskippable dialogue bit "NO LINK YOU CAN'T GO THERE YET!" more or less. Like they could have done a better fucking way of preventing you from doing the rest of the dungeon than walling off an entire square of map you've already been in. Like gee maybe just like make it so all the doors are locked or some shit

I found the sailing tedious generally. That's what let Wind Waker down. Not the cartoony art style

I disagree. The boat is slow and it's really annoying having to change the wind direction in the direction you want to go, realising that you've set it in not quite the right direction and having to change it again. Or having to repeatedly change the direction just to get around a tiny island. This is why Nintendo put in a fast sail for the HD remake.

Much prefer Twilight Princess where you had your horse again

Wind Waker locks you in and doesn't let you sail randomly around until you beat the Forbidden Woods I think? Once you do Dragon Roost Island, you should have been able to freely sail around and explore a bit. Every game before that had things that were gated, but you could basically dick around in the overworld without being railroaded anywhere. No , "I can't allow you to do that, Link."

I bet he'd screech about how your a le hecking media illiterate chud if you disagree with him. And of course he looks like a retarded fag.

His profile picture also reminds me of this for some reason:

Actually the worst part of early TWW is how it doesn't let you leave the path from Windfall to Dragon Roost and then Dragon Roost to the Forest Haven. Like if you want to go back to Windfall from Forest Haven you have to go around.
