I wish I knew the source of that engraving with 100% certainty I have seen it before - I want to say it was in one of the old Trade books where you learned real skills but it was all from a single company or a few companies products, in the old days you'd buy your apprentice kit from a catolouge and you'd normally get a few free books that also served as adverts but where supposed to be educational first an foremost.
I want to say American between 1900 and 1910 from the art style and from what looks like a cylinder honing or boring machine but not a big one from one of the big makers or from old stock etc but i know I have seen that fucking image before.
