I like how there is absolutely no logical alignment between the countries on either side as well as the completely off-the-wall participants like Haiti, Bulgaria and Algeria. Also lol at Israel fighting on both sides.

Biafra's plight it similar to that of Katanga and Congo, more functional African minority tries to break away from less functional majority, international community supports the less functional majority because if they don't, all the decolonized nations they threw together collapse, Africa sorts itself out on tribal lines and likely becomes harder to influence/control and in Biafra's case the Brits are assholes. Katanga's sin was they wanted whites to stay around and help them run things until they could stand on their own feet.
