So I wound up reading the entire run last night. It's like if Robert Crumb did a noir detective anthology about furries getting kicked in the nuts. I love it.

The art is great, the profanity is top-notch, the situations are silly but incredibly well-written. The author seems to have a great deal of authentic life experience with grief and trauma, and I love how he sprinkles in a lot of helpful tips about, for instance, how to deal with police interrogations, and the most efficient way to mug a man in an alley. I felt genuinely bad for Barky, could relate to Pawl, and saw in Ray several of my friends and former colleagues. I even appreciated the consistent, thematic defense of family values and clean living - something all too rare in furry media - and it was done with just the right amount of "not being edgy and snarky" - it's a little edgy, but only when it needs to be, only when it's funny. Strong characters, moral messages without being preachy, absurdist yet grounded enough to be totally believable, and has some really great, downright artsy compositional segments, including one bit (the furry dying in an alleyway after the Barky attack) which I actually could have used for a presentation several months ago, had I not been living in ignorance at the time. Possibly the best comic I've read all year. Were I given the chance, I'd replace all school library copies of Maus with this.

Plus there's an alt panel featuring Dobbo!

The author must have a nut kicking fetish, because that is a work of love right there.

I'm late and autistic, I know, but @AnOminous , what's the deal with this comic? Is there a thread about it here? The main website is gone and replaced by Russian ad squatters, and while it looks like AwfulSomething was doing a bad webcomics series on it ("bad webcomics"?!), relevant threads are locked behind their paywall.

What’s the comic called?

Dreaming of Utopia. It's got entries on WikiFur and the Bad Webcomics Wiki, as well as isolated panels on various 4chan archives and pre-KF internet drama forums.

The full comic (or the first several issues?) is available on Ehentai, of all places:
https://e-hentai.org/g/2176232/cd4215a717/
(SFW, but the website itself is NSFW obviously)
