In a less gay way, Cher, the queen, has said "Women seek in men what they failed to achieve themselves". A career, money, fame, reputation, suit-n-tie parties. But a woman is born to be a socialite; fuck and charm her way to the top. A man does the same, he's a cucked castrated loser who prefers to be pegged by his queen-wife. Of course, this is heckin based, validating and pro-feminism, until it isn't because it's a man bending over for a woman.

The trad larper wants control. But he's not a natural leader. So he needs someone incredibly naive and extremely submissive so he can believe he's that guy. (He's also an easily triggered narcissist.)

The boring nerd needs a weird chick he fantasizes would do all the things he's too afraid to do/ask of a woman, of her own volition, with no input needed from the terminally shy sperg. (He also perhaps feels defacto rejecte by more normie women so wants something that on surface seems safer.)

I mean, an alt aesthetic can work, but few women can pull it off and even then it's not really in style to do it in earnest anymore. No one you'd actually want to romp in the hay with calls herself a goth anymore (unless it's for money).

Flip it on its head: Why would a grown adult woman want to wear black lipstick, chokers, stockings and whatever is leftover from her emo phase in her teens? It was easy. Simpler. And now you got droves of men lusting for this simpler way of female worship. Ironically, goth chicks infamously never showed off and hated revealing skin. They didn't want attention and generally stuck to themselves and their kind. 'Goth' today is literally a stepping stone towards onlyfans. Show me any adult woman putting effort into looking 'goth' and there's an aspiring sex worker profile of hers out there somewhere. Same goes for troons; notice how they immediately buy big black heels and stockings, not a cute beige cardigan and pumps.

Men like evil women, because evil is a consequence of a personality. Real women however see this, take away only the 'evil' part of it and mimic the behavior of their teens that drove their besties to suicide: Being as vile as possible. They don't understand the appeal of tease, 'brat' behavior or any such notion. Cat girl? oh you want a girl with cat ears that licks her snatch and drinks milk? I can do that!

This whole idea of people being labeled and thus expected to act a sudden way is retarded. Women wear black once; they're a goth gf. They wear a beige shirt; sad mommy vibes. Dudes are guilty of playing into this shit too, but ultimately you just got two gooners; one society deems a proud sex worker and the other an angry loser incel that the former nonetheless wants more of to support her lifestyle.

It's all buzzwords and slop, and the fact it stems from and spreads from the US into europe is fucking cancerous.

Definitely has something to do with sex positivity culture nowadays. Kids are being told you don't need to be married to mingle, you can mingle with the same sex, and if you can't have underage sex it's fine to watch porn and masturbate. How did this idea even start?

Probably due to underage sex and premarital sex not being criminalized leading to sexless men feeling like we're missing out on a part of life everyone else seems to have access to and which we have a biological drive to achieve.

I've honestly never tried masturbating without some sort of visual aid, I could rely on memory of porn if needed but if porn were to be banned then what would the next generation of sexless men be left with?

While I'm not convinced 100% by either side of this debate (I'm mostly in this thread out of curiosity), that assertion seems to support the thesis of the OP -- that porn is a slippery slope where each step results in decreased sensitivity and increased dependency.

I've been trying to wean myself off it. Like most people of my age I got into it as a young teenager and it's really fucked when you think about it that we have this psychologically addictive thing that starts getting kids long before they'd normally even be getting into tobacco or alcohol or narcotics. Even before coffee, often. I think that different qualitative types of porn are like, orders of magnitude better/worse than each other and I don't think masturbation itself causes any harm at all.

One thing I found in my porn journey was I just kind of got to where I was tired of doing this nonsense. It was like I could sense a sudden fork in the road of either, stop watching porn, or commit to being a full gooner. I wasn't an addict in the sense of spending lots of time on it - I get bored of it really quick - but I was in the way people are with coffee or soda, how people slaved to it rarely go a day without it. And I'd lapse back frequently. It's gotten to where I don't fall back in for long stretches and I've had some long stretches without it at all. When I lapse I don't feel guilty but I don't feel much of anything at all. It already wasn't fun and it's like doing this has destroyed any fun it has.

You don't realize how much porn is fucking up your head until you go off of it. Things like nudity in a movie is suddenly way more interesting than before. At the same time, I said I don't believe masturbation is bad as such, but I was shocked that that also falls off without porn. Porn basically turbocharges sexual arousal but directed entirely inward at more porn.

I don't think there is shit you can do about it as a govt, it's here to plague us forever. I do think it is a bad influence on the world.

No, it's all the chemical and hormone stuff happening around orgasm when using porn, as well as the habitual aspect of using--going through certain rituals and the sense of expectation--that fucks people up. It's basically classical conditioning because orgasm feels good obviously and so you instinctually want to do more of what makes that happen.

Just rubbing one out every once in a while is normal and part of existence of sexual beings. Having to use porn and dissociating from arousal being something that should be caused by other human beings you can interact with, basically the abstraction from sex being a physical and mutual act, is what is bad.
