Back on topic, I believe Kinsey is genuinely trans; she even wrote a blog entry on dysphoria (archived here) which makes me wonder: what went wrong?

Basically this. I think it's fair to say that sex with a dead body isn't rape, because a corpse is beyond being emotionally harmed, but it's extremely disingenuous to go from that to assuming that therefore sex with a dead body is exactly equivalent to sex with a sex toy or other inanimate object. You can claim all you want that it's just religious prudery, but that ignores more or less the entirety of human cultural development involving death and the dead, the fact that most of the newly dead will have mourners who would be emotionally harmed by the sexual use of their loved one's dead body, and the psychological reality that necrophilia is more or less always a predatory sexual act (stealing a corpse, possibly targeting corpses because they can't resist, etc.). I suppose you can technically come up with an extremely convoluted scenario where necrophilia would be acceptable, but it has to get really damn convoluted.

I think "gender abolitionism" involves not only removing gender roles, but gender identity as well. It conflates gender identity and gender roles, which is something that tucutes and the like do a lot, ironically enough.
 
I know I'm late to the discussion but wow, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around her sorry excuse for drunk driving. I guess MADD really needs to check their privilege.

Damn, before I was able to legally drink, before I was able to legally drive, I had it engrained in me that if you don't have a place to crash YOU JUST DON'T GET DRUNK.

That's not being classist that's just being a responsible, decent fucking human being.

You can still get busted for DWI for this, as you are considered to be "in control of" the car. Police in fact often do this. This is rather stupid, as it actually encourages people to drive drunk even when they should be encouraged not to, even if it means parking it and sleeping in it.
