I am just awe-struck with how compassionate, understanding, and loving Clint is. He describes these struggles of raising Josh, the idiosyncrasies, stubbornness, defiance... and you can hear the grin on Clints face. He loved that boy through and through.

I can't imagine the amount of emotional growth it must have taken Clint to know what he could help Josh with and what he couldn't. Then to be able to articulate it, have a sense of humor about it, and be humble about the reality of it all.

Clint is a good dad.

thats what speaks to me most. its so rare to have a parent that gives that much of a fuck especially with a kid as difficult as josh. many parents would have just given up and let whatever happens happen. but clint really did try and i see why he never tossed josh into a group home. josh had a home and a family. he was not seen as some mistake or a burden he was seen the same as they see everyone else. josh was that cool uncle and brother who might be a little strange sometimes but he was a good dude till the end.
